With the "demise" of the Tuscaloosa News I'm find it hard to find a place to actually read the news in the morning. I find myself trying to read it around that damn pay for it pop up. I'm not really impressed with AL.com. It's too hard to find anything local. I'm concered I'm going to miss important local stuff that I like to stay on top of. Suggestions?

I'm having the same issue, Buck. I guess al.com is about as good as it gets. There's just not much of a source for Tuscaloosa/West Alabama other than Tnews that I've seen.

Hey Buckeye, instead of just going to the main al.com page, try saving the "Real-Time News From Tuscaloosa" al.com page in your favorites: blog.al.com/tuscaloosa/index.html

It's still not "breaking" news and there are no Tuscaloosa obituaries listed when you choose the drop-down for obits. There's such a Birmingham slant to the whole site. We're not "Birmingham-lite", we're Tuscaloosa!
