I've probably watched all the presidential debates. Even Kennedy & Nixon, which I think was the first. It probably changed the outcome of the election, and scared candidates away from debates for years to come.
The one last night was the first one that was too terrible to watch. 15 minutes was all I could take of it.
Was Trump's debate plan to go in and talk over everybody all night? It's hard to imagine that his advisors told him he should do that, but I guess it's possible. It's been clear since Trump descended from on high in 2015 that he can't put together two coherent sentences on any factual topic. But in 2016 debates, he at least did not destroy the debate by talking over everybody almost all the time, including the moderator.
I haven't looked at any news today about how the public regarded the debate, but I expect Trump gained no votes at all, and drove a large portion of the undecided voters over to Biden.
It's demeaning and pointless now for anybody to get on the same stage with Trump. The remaining two debates may be canceled, but even if they are held, I won't watch them.

They were both disrespectful, though Trump twice as much.
