HOW are they getting away with this? WHERE are the Democrats???!!! I honestly have to say I don'tk now that I'm oposed to drug testing. I've never made a secret of that. BUT, how they got this though is what's most disturbing. I read this and all I could think is WTF!!! Republicans approved the contentious bill a few minutes after the Senate convened for the day. There were few Democrats in the chamber. Senate President Pro Tem Del Marsh quickly moved to approve the bill using the Senate's last roll call from early this morning. No senator objected, and the bill automatically passed 22-10. Democrats rushed to the chamber and accused Republicans of acting in bad faith. "There is no shame in this Legislature," Sen. Quinton Ross, D-Montgomery said. WTF???

They already have the votes so why LIE on the record about it ?

Al, and TN will find out with their new drug testing law what Fla found out. it will cost them more money than save.
there also need to be procedures to disprove a positive result. welfare recipients do not have a choice on where to live and if you have someone in a MDU cooking meth in the dwelling below or next to you, then you are going to piss positive for meth for example. same scenario for marijuana if you have someone smoking it in proximity to your dwelling, or legal prescriptions that must be taken for mental health and other serious illness that could cause a positive result. other than these issues i have no problems with drug testing welfare recipients.

We need more drug testing. Of senators. Of the family members of senators who mention family as a reason to support any legislation. Of the prostitutes frequented by senators. Of the family members of prostitutes' families fathered by senators. This post sponsored by

This Communist style Republican regime who have seized control of the Alabama state government won't be stopped until a group of citizens drag them out of the State House and forbid them to ever enter it again.
It happened before in Eastern Europe a while back.
