OK, i am going to say this again,,,
this is a concept that just seems to escape people like this Kim Davis woman and many others i see,,,
there is a difference, a big difference, between a church performing a religious ceremony for marriage and a clerk issuing marriage licenses,,,
the ceremony is the theological portion of marriage, and it predates the government issuing marriage licenses and is the marriage performed in the eyes of God,,,
Marriage licenses are a secular (man) created legal document and it's sole purpose is to identify is to recognize partnerships whether same sex or opposing sex for the simple purpose of benefits under the law of man and in the courts, this document has absolutely nothing to do with recognizing a union in the eyes of God. it is simply a secular legal document.
the ceremony performed by a clergy is where the marriage is recognized in the eyes of God, no where else.
I hope this finally clears up the distinction between Biblical marriage and a Secular marriage or union.
i am also quite ashamed and embarrassed that our political leadership (such as Ted Cruz) does not realize this distinction and is running to support her actions and support this obvious breach of her secular duties.
