I think at that period and time, people were just tired of war. Many returning servicemen left a world they could no longer identify with. Sure they expected better after serving in what many thought of as a 'useless war'. This socio-economical spiral started with a nation divided (as it is now) and I don't see a recovery in years to come. There is no plan, just immense bickering of who's right...as a nation suffers. I do not believe we have bottomed out, the only answer is job creation among others. Many could find work during those times, and did. You could make an honest living, raise your family and vacation, then look forward to retirement. This is not the case today as we all know

brought this topic over from T-News originally posted by "Bobby Scott" thought it was an important topic to bring over here And the source referenced is Aljazeera. That's a great thinking neutral biased news agency [roll eyes] As for the topic, I believe the ponzi scheme started in the 90s when credit was loosened up to create opportunities for home ownership. Bank rules were changed again in mid 2000s, a new Democrat congress in 2006 scared businesses into slowing down due to an unknown future climate. Then 2008 with a super-majority congress, business owners locked their bank accounts. Since 2006, the federal government has spent over budget nearly 20%. There was an interesting editorial in the T-News.
