Perhaps the fact that it has doubled with every administration since (and including) Reagan. Spending money has always meant votes, especially in the districts that the excess money has enriched.

And even if the medicaid program is more frugal than most government enticements, patients will only receive around 20% of the dollars taken from the economy.
I noticed politifact didn't measure lost revenues caused directly by job loses due to obamacare. Not surprised.

Tho the percentages may have been off, the fact that the program expenses have doubled over the last 8 years. It's also rife with fraud and abuse mostly due to poor checks and balances well as poor oversight. No doubt the program is necessary, but let's see that the right people get the help and that tax money is spent wisely.
