Lyrics: Tin soldiers and Nixon's comin'. We're finally on our own. This summer I hear the drummin'. Four dead in Ohio.
Gotta get down to it. Soldiers are gunning us down. Should have been done long ago. What if you knew her and Found her dead on the ground? How can you run when you know?
Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na. Na, na, na, na, na, na, na. Na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na. Na, na, na, na, na, na, na.
Gotta get down to it. Soldiers are cutting us down. Should have been done long ago. What if you knew her and Found her dead on the ground? How can you run when you know?
Tin soldiers and Nixon's comin'. We're finally on our own. This summer I hear the drummin'. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio. Four dead in Ohio.

THIS was what it was like to grow up in the late 60's and early 70's. It woke us up and made us stronger.

NOTHING EVER CHANGES. I mean really. It doesn't. What has changed? It's the same. Different generations different wars but it's all the same. NOTHING EVER CHANGES

I remember many heated discussions on this back then. I was only 8 years old, but grew up not far from where this happened

I was 17 and in the thick of things. Attended many an anti-war rally. Would have been there if not for a a change in plans.

I was 19 and a University student at the time. I saw the story in the news, but other than being aware of it, I paid no more attention to it as I went on about my business, focusing on dealing with my own issues, and school, etc.

I was 20 at the time and was fighting against the war at U of A; what I remember the most is my dad telling me that I needed to stay in school so I wouldn't be drafted.

I remember watching the numbers being drawn in 1972 for the 1973 draft. My ex's number was 055. However, no new draft orders were issued after 1972.

Are you crazy??? I'm supposed to travel from Tuscaloosa to wherever those funerals occurred, maybe Ohio, and for people who I never knew, simply because I read about it in a newspaper??? Did you attend the funerals? You've just come up with a whole new level of unreasonable and bizarre expectations. You might want to consider getting away from the computer for a few days. "Didn't affect you, so it didn't exist; forget you ever heard about it, move on."Well, actually, it didn't affect me, but yes it did exist. And of course I've moved on. Seriously, you should think about taking a break from all of this for a few days.

I just wanted to accentuate the bizarre and ridiculous in your own statement: That none of what happened really mattered in your world, even though four innocent people died. You never even considered that one of those four innocent dead people could have been you, just minding your own business walking across campus.
But, because it didn't happen to you: NEVER MIND!
You fulfilled all my expectations; Thank you.

You fulfilled all my expectations; Thank you.No, you can't get off by simply offering up that equivalent of I'm just saying...I didn't have any more angst over that incident than a billion Chinese, Bolivians, Kenyans, and Floridians did. You think they cared? I didn't care either. It had absolutely zero to do with me and everything I was working on. It couldn't have been more unrelated. And it remains that way today. And no, you're very wrong, none of those innocent people could've been me. I never took part in any protests nor was I ever present where armed soldiers had been deployed. I never even saw any protests or armed soldiers. Yet I walked across campus for years during that period. Again, you should seriously consider stepping away from the computer and clearing your head with thoughts of other things, for a few days. Seriously
