i have been saying this for years and when this inevitably happens it will ripple through the entire economy with disastrous results. what will happen when the system collapses and we now have millions of unemployed healthcare professionals? one thing is they will no long be contributing to the service based economy meaning it will be a chain reaction of downsizing and layoffs by other private sector employers due to not making much of a profit when we lose all these healthcare jobs from the economy. think about it. those healthcare professionals go out and buy stuff from retailers, the healthcare companies will no longer be buying from suppliers and so on down the line. there will be unemployment, disease and suffering on a massive scale. well here is part of the problem as i see it. first healthcare costs are rising at a much faster pace than GDP and i foresee it coming to a point where neither insurance suppliers either private or public, and individuals are no longer going to be able to afford the rising cost of healthcare, and the other issue i see is if the GOP get's their way on abolishment of medicare and block granting of medicaid. i also see the same thing happening right now in many different rental housing markets.

Healthcare is in bad shape and getting worse. Saw where rural hospitals are in dire need of physicians as the saying goes, its going to get worse before(if) it ever gets better anymore.
It is a concern about the medicare/Medicaid programs many have worked to pay into this plan.To find who knows if they will have coverage or not! Many older people that is all they have and can afford.
