In the late 1960s, I had a regular TV routine during summer vacation mornings.
6 AM - Country Boy Eddie 7 AM - Tom York Morning Show 8 AM - Captain Kangaroo 9 AM - The Lucy Show 9:30 - Beverly Hillbillies 10 AM - Andy Griffith 10:30 - Gomer Pyle USMC
Then it was time to go with Mama to Grandma's house to help cook mid-day dinner.

Anyone remember a show called Apple's Way? Its one of the first shows I have a recollection of. I'd love to get the DVD for the one (or two?) seasons it lasted.
Oh - and a Saturday morning show called Cliffwood Avenue kids. I loved that show.

"We're the Cliffwood Avenue kidssss." I remember that show. Or at least the theme song. Most of tv back then was only good for its theme song. The writing and acting were so... 1970s.

American Band Stand(Soul Train) I've seen a couple of clips of Dick Clark in the last year, maybe after a singer died or something. Both times, it seemed like DC was a real dick, so to speak. I didn't watch that show as a kid, so was he a jerk with his comments or were those just isolated moments?

Don Cornelius was never a dick. Jus' sayin'. Don was the man What was that thing many years ago (a fad, I guess) where everybody had a whistle around their neck and blew them in time with the music?
