I don't recall seeing "cancel entitlement programs" on the agenda. Perhaps the word was "reform". What's wrong with making sure these expensive programs are benefiting those they are intended for? What's wrong with trying to control waste, fraud and abuse?
As for Social security, I would love to see a plan to transition it to the private sector via mandatory IRAs or 401K type funds. Why does someone retired and making over $150K per year even able to collect Social security?
Remember too, nothing will pass the Senate without 7 or 8 votes from Democrats.

Because, that person with a good job and sound retirement planning had no choice but to pay into SS AND MEDICARE. Why shouldn't he get it back as was intended
