I've wrote several things that later I wished that I could take back, but didn't. Those were on other forums.
No additional info is wanted.

To set the record straight I'm actually using an iPad and inadvertently liked that reply and couldn't undo it. in general I don't like replies from anyone. Although me and osha generally think along the same lines and have common ground on many issues.

Who said some thing about atheists in a conversation about free speech? Oh wait, that was you. And you tried to play the moral high ground by wanted people to align with your ideas. So, I hit your moral, christian high ground with a fact about Israel. And now you proclaim this "a straw man argument to me". So in other words: Osha hit me with the truth in response to what I said and it's making me sad. I want the people here to please think he's grasping at straws to prove a point. Please believe me and don't click the link he posted. Oh, please don't, its straw man. Don't attack a section of society unless you are willing to get a response you may not like. This is not a straw man response, this is a response showing your religions "moral" hypocrisy! What section of society have I attacked? Isn't it an attack on a "section of society" to post something like this: "right wing, bible thumping, dollar store loving utopia"? If I may paraphrase, don't attack my faith, politics or shopping habits unless you are willing to get a response that you don't like. Here's a couple of undeniable facts: the pejorative term "bible thumping" tends to be the favored tool of hateful and intolerant atheists. And, second, if I say that something is a logical fallacy, it's a logical fallacy. The typical straw man argument creates the illusion of having completely refuted or defeated an opponent's proposition through the covert replacement of it with a different proposition (i.e., "stand up a straw man") and the subsequent refutation of that false argument ("knock down a straw man") instead of the opponent's propositionen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_manAgain, bringing up Israel was a classic example of a straw man argument. If you want to talk about Israel, I can show you what a Christian conservative actually thinks and it does not agree with your anecdotal linked story at all. As far as the facts and the truth, you'll find that that is what I bring to the table every time. It's what I do.

You can think you bring truth to the table and that is fine. That article already showed you the truth, but you can take comfort in a false group mentality. You belong to a big enough group to do that for sure. Your group can dictate the lives of others and that is fine and people shouldn't "attack" your religion when it's your religion and it's people that are making it harder for other people.
Want your religion left alone? Stop using it as a tool to effect the lives of others. As long as your religion effects me, I will attack it and not like it. Because I can and because your hypocrites. Just how it is.

Using facts and the truth, I will correct and embarrass those who attack my faith and do so as often as it takes to expose their intolerance and hatred of Christians and conservatives. Your article showed us a logical fallacy, nothing more. And the word is "affect", not "effect". And I believe that you meant "you're" not "your" above. "Because I can" Go ahead, but remember...you may get a response you definitely won't like. Just how it is.

I type most replies on my phone and spell check does strange things sometimes, meh. Making fun of spelling is childish in my mind anyhow.
I showed your flaw in thinking. You criticizing me for caring about people. Does that say anything to you?
Anyways, I'm done with this with you. I proved my point and I'm sure most people here wouldn't hate on me for caring about people. That's only you here.
Good day.

I don't use spell check so that I am forced to use my head for more than a hat rack. If you don't want corrections, don't misspell. Come now, the "summary" above is just plain hogwash. If one takes a debate personally, it will always get personal. Knock off the smears, stick to the issue and I'll do the same.

Who is dishing out "smears"?
Stand by your convictions and take from those what is the good and bad. If as a group, your voting to hurt others, I will react as such and to me, that is on topic. I have to live in this world just like everyone else. And if as a group you get together and make choices that effect me, I have every right to oppose to those choices.
Life is a topic all in itself.
And spell check, meh. When someone complains about spelling, I see it as weakness and the complainer usually being on the losing side of the argument. Meh, my perceptive.

we need to step back and take a breather. we don't need to have personal attacks against each other or otherwise be disagreeable. we can disagree without being disagreeable. there is no reason for personal attacks against each other.
THREAD IS LOCKED!!!
