So you concur that the Democrat's opinion of Comey's job security changed when the Republican president was sworn in. Those clips are Congressional members, not Obama administration lackeys. Of course it did. Those Democrats wanted Obama to fire Comey. They knew Trump was not going to fire him for throwing the election to Trump. The episode of the trashed election was over when Trump took office. Trump himself praised Comey for reviving the email story. Trump never disapproved of the devastating effect that Comey had on all Democratic campaigns across the country. Republicans were overjoyed about Comey's calculated timing, and the impossibility of any counter-action at that late date. But now Trump says this is the reason he was fired. Anyone who believes that is an idiot. Firing Comey in an attempt to squash the investigation into Russian efforts in the election is an entirely different story, especially now as more and more Trump campaign officials and relatives, and perhaps even Trump himself, are suspected of involvement with the Russian efforts.

Comey over played his role in July when he played AG with the Clinton investigation. He should have been fired then, but the administration let it go. Just last week Comey made some 'misstatements' about the Anthony Weiner investigation. (Link here) Perhaps that contributed to his own ousting. Unlike the prior administration, if you effed up, you got promoted (Susan Rice, Lois Learner, et al). With Trump, you are out the door. Look what happened with Flynn, as soon as he knew for sure, boom!, gone. So far, other than the Flynn connection, which has been dealt with and criminal charges may be pending, there is no evidence of Trump 'colluding' with the Russians. It's interesting to me that most Democrats are upset that Podesta was hacked, but are not upset at the contents of the emails that were hacked. There is no proof that the Russians did it. It is possible for our government computer geeks to hack someone and leave traces behind to make it look like the Russians. Perhaps someone in the CIA or FBI did not want Hillary elected. Here's another good one:

As much as I am not a Trump supporter, I in no way whatsoever want Pence to be POTUS.
He would destroy a lot of stuff with the backing of the GOP because he himself would have connections.
As bad as Trump might be, Pence would be much, much worse.

Good post, hoofie. jiminix wrote.."If Clinton had won and Obama didn't fire Comey, Clinton certainly would have fired him for his near-treasonous violations of DOJ rules. And it would not be to "protect Clinton" as you say, because Comey and the other Republicans had already done their worst, riding the email hobby horse ad nauseum for 2 years (and Benghazi for 4 yrs). After countless investigations all finding nothing, there certainly was nothing new on these topics for Clinton to be "protected" from. " Read more: tnewsbackupforum.boards.net/thread/813/trump-terrified-throws-comey-bus?page=1#ixzz4gokhdfnSjiminix, you present a good argument on all things liberal, but almost everyone who has any measure of a clue can see Hillary's failures. Any investigation pertaining to collusion should begin with the Clintons, and I'm sure you know why. Does your bar end with the results of political investigations?
